Favorite thing to build and why: In Minecraft I tend to like to build big a house/fortress with a couple friends of mine to start, then we build other structures around it into a small and functional town. I enjoy making the fortress because I like to have a nice and secure base of operations. In other words, I've had far too many encounters with creepers.
IRL hobbies: I am an avid musician; I play the trombone and the guitar. I used to be in a band with some friends of mine in high school where I played the bass trombone. I also play Minecraft and Starcraft 2 in my spare time, as well as Magic the gathering.
Occupation: I am studying software development in college and I hope to write software for some company or work as IT for a company.

Ancient Egypt: Contrary to popular belief, excavated skeletons show that the pyramid builders were actually Egyptians who were most likely in the permanent employ of the pharaoh. Graffiti indicates that at least some of these workers took pride in their work, calling their teams “Friends of Khufu,” “Drunkards of Menkaure,” and so on—names indicating allegiances to pharaohs.

Most of the major projects on the server are built around the texture pack John Smith. It's not a requirement to install or use it, but odds are good that the server will look much better if you use the same texture pack that the moderators are using.

In order to use this texture pack, you need to download MCPatcher, and John Smith. There are installation instructions included in the zip file.
