Pick one of the following topics, and tell us something about it - Ancient Egypt, Famous Pianists, Nuclear Physics: Famous pianists! It's likely you guys may have heard this one before, but Władysław Szpilman was a famous Polish-Jewish pianist renowned not only for his reputation as a musician, but as a survivor of the Holocaust in the Warsaw Ghetto. During his time in hiding, Szpilman was discovered by a German officer, Captain Wilm Hosenfeld. Surprisingly, Hosenfeld spared Szpilman and instead inquired about who Szpilman was. Upon finding out that Szpilman was a pianist, Hosenfeld asked him to play on a piano they had found inside the house, a scene which is famously depicted in the 2002 film The Pianist. After this, not only did Hosenfeld show Szpilman a better place to hide, he also brought him food on numerous occasions to survive, and a jacket to keep warm in the freezing temperatures.

Most of the major projects on the server are built around the texture pack John Smith. It's not a requirement to install or use it, but odds are good that the server will look much better if you use the same texture pack that the moderators are using.

In order to use this texture pack, you need to download MCPatcher, and John Smith. There are installation instructions included in the zip file.
