Well, radioactive elements aren't stable and therefore have a over time start to decay, there a 3 main types of radioactive decay:

Alpha decay is where the radioactive substance decays by emitting 2 protons and 2 neutrons (a helium atom), this carries on until the substance becomes stable.

Beta decay is where it has too few or too many neutrons. this causes the particles to turn into other ones, for example in a nitrogen-16 atom (which has 7 protons and 9 neutrons) it'll turn into an oxygen-16 atom (8 protons and 8 neutrons) very shortly after being created.

Gamma decay (one of the simpler ones) is where it simply emits a gamma ray to release energy.

Most of the major projects on the server are built around the texture pack John Smith. It's not a requirement to install or use it, but odds are good that the server will look much better if you use the same texture pack that the moderators are using.

In order to use this texture pack, you need to download MCPatcher, and John Smith. There are installation instructions included in the zip file.
