Favorite thing to build and why: Large scale projects. For example my friends and I did a fairly decent recreation of the downtown area in my city, except that we made a large scale model of a creeper in the center of town in the hopes they wouldn't swarm us. But then they blew a hole in our McDonalds. I like working on large projects with a few friends compared to working on smaller ones by myself.

Ancient Egypt, as we understand it today, is thought to have come together somewhere between 3200 and 3100 BC. Some of the structures I find most intriguing include the Great Pyramid of Giza and the Great Sphinx of Giza. Construction finished on both somewhere between 2600 and 2500 BC, and the great pyramid stood as the tallest structure in the world for almost 4000 years.

We're waiting on bukkit to update. Right now the server is set to private so all of the OPs and admins can get stuff set up. As soon as you're on the white list I will reply to this thread and let you know.

Most of the major projects on the server are built around the texture pack John Smith. It's not a requirement to install or use it, but odds are good that the server will look much better if you use the same texture pack that the moderators are using.

In order to use this texture pack, you need to download MCPatcher, and John Smith. There are installation instructions included in the zip file.
