Favorite thing to build and why: Castles/forts because they are large projects that grow over time and if a group of people work together it can be a great group project.

Occupation: I am currently without a job due to the fact that I am only a sophomore in high school. However, if being a student at a high school counts as my job then that would be my job. ;)
Pick one of the following topics, and tell us something about it - Ancient Egypt, Famous Pianists, Nuclear Physics:
The Ancient Egyptians were one of the first civilizations to roam the earth, and originated around 3150 BC. Egypt was originally created when one of Alexander the Great's generals sailed away from Greece and landed in Egypt.
Egyptians were able to grow their crops along the Nile river, and quickly learned how to irrigate the land farther out from the river to be able to grow even more crops.
Scribes within Egypt were able to record their history by using the Egyptians independent writing style. Also, by writing hieroglyphics upon the walls of temples and pyramids much of the history was preserved.
Due to the Ancient Egyptians ability to quarry they were able to construct some amazing wonders of the world. Over 110 pyramids were build, but the tallest of them all was the Great Pyramid of Giza. The pyramid was about 480ft tall, and was the tallest structure in the world for more than 3,800 years! That is the longest holding record.
Pyramids were the resting place for the mortal form of the pharaoh. However, the items left with the pharaoh would follow him (or her on occasion) into the afterlife.

Most of the major projects on the server are built around the texture pack John Smith. It's not a requirement to install or use it, but odds are good that the server will look much better if you use the same texture pack that the moderators are using.

In order to use this texture pack, you need to download MCPatcher, and John Smith. There are installation instructions included in the zip file.
