Favorite thing to build and why: Underwater complexes, because it is different than a normal house and really works with Industrialcraft and similar mods. (Oil platforms or bases, etc)

When the neutrons of an atom and the protons are divided in a radioactive isotope, it creates a chain reactions that forces all other atoms to do the same. This effect releases a very large amount of energy and radiation. E.G. A nuclear bomb or reactor.

Tell us your favorite websites for researching BuildCraft/IndustrialCraft:
I do not use a website because I discovered that in Tekkit (MP industrial craft) you can use the mod that shows you all the items in the game similar to TooManyItems mod to see the recipes by hovering over it and pressing R. If I cannot se the mod in a server I just use the Tekkit wiki which has links to every mod's wiki.
