Phatgal's Application
MC user name: PhatgaI
Age: 20
Country: Switzerland
Languages: English
Favorite thing to build and why: complex yet not intricate structures & mazes
IRL hobbies: studies, soccer, traveling, writing, new people, snowball fights
Occupation: Student
Pick one of the following topics, and tell us something about it - Ancient Egypt, Famous Pianists, Nuclear Physics:
Pianists: This is not entirely about pianists but something very interesting I learned recently which is a bit related. A study was conducted looking at the pitch perception of young (4-5 yrs of age) children. Groups for comparison were differentiated based on their first learned language. It was found that 74 out of 100 children at that age who matured with a tonal language (languages where the meaning of verbal communication is highly dependent upon how it is spoken) had perfect pitch. That was contrasted with the 17 out of 100 children from non-tonal languages who had perfect pitch at that age.
Do those who develop in those cultures have a musical ability advantage? Does perfect pitch restrict one from becoming a professional musician or does pitch perception develop adequately enough over time?
I know the name is silly. In game, it will show as it was meant to: phatgal

In order to use this texture pack, you need to download MCPatcher, and John Smith. There are installation instructions included in the zip file.
